Roissypôle
(Roissybus)
11 Rue Scribe, 75009 Paris |
CDG to Paris: Skip the €14 RER B for a €2.05 Bus
What to know before you join the RER B queue
Almost everyone arriving at Charles de Gaulle heads straight for the RER B into Paris. That's €14. There's a way to cover the same distance for €2.05 — seven times cheaper.
It's not an airport shuttle, just a regular city bus. No separate ticket needed — tap your Navigo and go. The catch is that almost no one knows this, so most people default to the RER B line. I did the same thing on my first trip to Paris.
As of September 2026 — fares and schedules change, so double-check in the app before you go
One Place to Catch It — Roissypôle
From your terminal, take CDGVAL — the airport's internal shuttle train — to Roissypôle. It's the same stop where you'd catch the RER B. Look for the bus stop there.
Three Bus Routes, Which One to Take
| Route | Destination | Time | Fare |
|---|---|---|---|
| 9517 | Saint-Denis Pleyel | ~30 min | €2.05 |
| 351 | Nation | 70–90 min | €2.05 |
| 350 | Porte de la Chapelle | 70–80 min | €2.05 |
The 351 boards at its terminus (Roissypôle), so you're guaranteed a seat. If you're staying near Nation, it drops you there with no transfer.
When RER B Wins, When the Bus Wins
The bus isn't always the answer.
RER B wins when
- You have a large suitcase — city buses have no luggage racks. You'll be holding it on your lap.
- It's rush hour — the bus sits in the same A1 traffic jam as everyone else.
- You're moving around a lot on arrival day — the €14 ticket includes 2 hours of transfers across zones 1–5. Worth it if you're heading into the city and then out to somewhere like Versailles the same day.
- You're arriving late at night
The bus wins when
- You've got one backpack — no contest.
- You're staying near Nation or Pleyel
- You have time to spare
Another Option — Roissybus
No need to go to Roissypôle for this one — it boards directly at each terminal. Roissybus is RATP's own airport shuttle, priced above the city bus but below the RER B.
| Duration | 75 min |
| Paris stop | 11 Rue Scribe, 75009 Paris |
| Operating hours | To the airport 05:15–00:30 · To the city 06:00–00:30 |
| Frequency | Every 15–20 min |
| Fare | €12 single (Navigo accepted) |
Where you board depends on your terminal.
| Terminal | Board at |
|---|---|
| Terminal 1 | Exit 24 |
| Terminal 2A, 2C | Exit 9 (Terminal 2A) |
| Terminal 2B, 2D | Exit 11 (Terminal 2D) |
| Terminal 2E, 2F | Follow the corridor from Exit 8 |
| Terminal 3 | Right outside the terminal exit |
There's free WiFi on board, too. It's slow, but enough to send a quick message home letting people know you landed safely.
Still
Big Suitcase or Not, the Real Paris Is the Bus
Korean travelers rarely pack light. But if yours is, the real Paris move is the bus.
So to get from downtown to the airport, I'd just do it in reverse, right?
